Medical Alert Dogs include seizure, diabetic, cardiac and PTSD service dogs.
- Summon help;
- Fetch medication
- Alert to low or high blood sugar, seizures, change in heart rate/rhythm, increased anxiety;
- Guide or move a person to a safe location, or into a safe position;
- Provide calming deep pressure.
Some alert dogs naturally predict events. Often this occurs after the dog has been placed with the recipient.
